Chad Meadors
Showcase Team Coach
Coach Meadors is the current Head Coach of the Women’s Basketball Program at Bushnell University. He has transformed the Women’s Program at Bushnell into one of the premier NAIA Collegiate Programs on the West Coast. Coach Meadors coaches our 18U Showcase Teams and gives our players an unbelievable opportunity to be given high level collegiate instruction and genuine assistance with the recruiting process. He and Coach Porter are also the founders of their Elite Skills Showcase Camp called Hardwood Dreams Academy hosted here in Central Oregon.

Coach Porter
Director/14U Team Cobalt Head Coach
Coach Porter is the Founder and Director of Central Oregon Force Basketball and the Head Program Coach. Coach Porter is a former Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Redmond High School and is a current Administrator in the Redmond School District. Porter has 20+ years of coaching and player development experience and has helped players of all ages pursue their goals, helping many achieve their dream of playing at the collegiate level. In addition, Porter is the founder and current President of Energy Youth Basketball Club, which is the feeder program for Ridgeview and Redmond High School boys and girls programs in Redmond, OR as well as the co-founder of Hardwood Dreams Academy, a unique player development and recruiting program designed to help female players receive professional instruction, recruiting exposure and an opportunity to build pathways to collegiate playing opportunities. Coach Porter is a former collegiate athlete who played football at Linfield College. Porter and his wife Holli are the proud parents of three beautiful ballers, Maisen #33, Bergen #2 and Sloane #3. When not in the gym you can find them on the river enjoying the ride and fly fishing for elusive trout and steelhead.

Coach Ramirez
HS Teams Assistant Coach
Coach Maria Ramirez brings over 8 years of competitive coaching experience to Central Oregon Force. Maria is the current Head Women’s Coach at Bend Senior High School. She is also a former 4A State Player of the Year in basketball and State Champion at La Pine High School, and went on as a collegiate athlete in basketball and track at Northwest Nazarene University and Oregon Tech. Coach Maria was introduced into college coaching as the first assistant coach at Oregon Tech in Klamath Falls. She focused on player recruitment, player development, and defensive principles and matchups. Later, Coach Maria became the head coach at Klamath Union High School for two seasons before moving back to Central Oregon in 2021. Coach Maria is excited to begin coaching at all age levels and assist in growing players both as athletes and future leaders.

Coach Cheney
MS/HS Assistant Head Coach
Coach Cheney brings 17+ years of coaching experience to the program. Coach Cheney has coached and worked in player development for both boys and girls at all levels. He is currently the Head Coach for our MS Team Programs. Coach Cheney brings a unique blend of playing, coaching and player development experience to our team and is a relentlessly positive influence in our program. Cheney is also an original member and Vice President of Energy Youth Basketball Club. Coach Cheney and his wife Lyndsay are the parents of two beautiful ballers, Dylan #5 and Logyn #6.

Coach Sloper
MS Teams Head/Asst Coach
Coach Kurt Sloper coaches for our MS Teams and brings a multitude of experiences from his 19 years of serving as a coach, teacher and school administrator. From 2005 - 2012 he was the Girls Varsity Basketball Coach at Crook County High School where they qualified for the post-season 4 times, twice being the IMC runner-up, and twice being named the IMC Coach of the Year. Kurt and his wife, Niki, continue to live in Prineville where he coaches his daughters, Mckinley and Morgan, in the Crook County Spurs and the Central Oregon Force basketball programs. Kurt has a passion for developing positive culture, competitive players and teams, and helping players reach their best versions of themselves: Both as players and people.

Chris Wyland
Player Development Coach
Coach Chris brings high energy, experience, and a player-first approach to Central Oregon Force, coaching in both fall and spring seasons. A former varsity head and assistant coach, he views basketball as transformational, built on trust, relationships, and consistent development. His teams emphasize a positive culture rooted in respect, accountability, and encouragement, with relentless effort as the standard. Practices are fast-paced and game-like, blending strong fundamentals with freedom to create while teaching players to play fast but stay composed. Through clear instruction and live-action mental skills training, Coach Chris develops confident, resilient athletes prepared to lead on and off the court, shaped by his strong local roots and family-centered perspective in Redmond.

Coach Klontz
MS Teams Head Coach
Coach Klontz joins us this season as a Head Coach for our MS Teams. Coach Klontz played basketball throughout her collegiate career at Southern Oregon University. She is a thoughtful, genuine and meticulous teacher of the game and the girls love her! Coach Klontz and her husband Nathan have two beautiful daughters, Presley and Harper. Coach Klontz also oversees all financial aspects of our organization and works for an accounting firm.

Coach Crook
Individual Skills Trainer and Assistant Coach
Coach Crook has Coached our HS Teams and now runs our private/group training sessions for players in our program year round. Coach Crook is a former Varsity Assistant for various High School Boys and Girls Basketball programs. He has also started or coached for various AAU/Club Basketball Programs in Oregon and Arizona. He brings a passion and patience to the game our players love and connect with. Coach Crook is a former collegiate athlete and played soccer at Oregon State University and Bushnell University.
